Relocating to Wyoming

Let me tell you about a couple who moved here from Massachusetts. Wyoming was the dream their whole lives. The place they always figured they'd end up. But life kept them back east, the years stacked up, and by the time they called me it had been twenty years since they'd set foot in the state. Twenty years. When they finally decided it was time, they didn't tiptoe. They listed their house back east, we had one or two phone calls, and that was it. The day their sale went under contract, they flew straight to Casper and told me they wanted to be under contract on a house here in two days.

The one thing that scared them wasn't Wyoming. It was ending up with two houses at once, one back east and one here, both on their dime. Honestly? I was more nervous than they were. They'd never once been to Casper, and it had been twenty years since they were in Wyoming at all. But they'd done their homework the modern way, my YouTube videos and a pile of other Wyoming ones, so they knew what they were walking into. Wind and all. They think it's funny now that I was the one with the heartburn.

I showed them seventeen houses that first day. The very last one, a brand-new listing from somebody on my team, I already knew in my gut they'd love it. They bought it on the spot.

That was almost two years ago. They're not just living here, they're all the way in. Friends with their neighbors. Hiking every corner of Wyoming. In love with the place. They even love the wind, though the day it hit ninety-some miles an hour, they went whoa. These days they're friends of mine. We grab dinner and a beer now and then, and half my video ideas come from them, because nobody's more fired up about this place than the people who chose it on purpose.
